Three Ways to Include Your Children in Your Wedding!

Creating those lasting memories at your wedding is one of the things every family looks forward to. From getting ready to walking down the aisle to the “just married” getaway car, you’ll be sharing those special moments with some of the most significant people in your life. For some, this will mean your children. These three tips will help you include them in the best ways possible on your big day.

1. Make them part of the bridal party.

Depending on their age, making them a part of the bridal party can really give them a special purpose and help them feel more involved in your upcoming nuptials. Including them in bridal activities like the bridal shower, bachelorette party (PG version of course), or other pre-wedding fun will help them feel grown up and enjoy your big day that much more. (Plus, many designers offer “junior” bridesmaids dresses so that they can match the rest of your party but in their own style!)

2. Walk Down The Aisle

Who says you have to stick to tradition? Make the moment extra meaningful by asking your sons and/or daughters to walk you down the aisle. They’ll feel extra special when you give them this responsibility, and it will symbolize not just the joining of two people, but the start of a new family.

3. Have Your Kids Give A Speech

Giving them a moment in the spot light can really re-enforce how much they mean to you and how happy you are to share this day with them. It is also a great way to get them to share their feelings on the big day, and show their excitement for the future!

No matter what happens, your kids will always be there to support and love you unconditionally. Creating a happily ever after for everyone on the big day can help them feel involved, excited, and best of all, loved.
